Christ Church Concert Series

The Christ Church Concert Series was founded in 1992. The initial purpose was to raise the consciousness of the Parish in the community about our plans and dream for a new organ. This culminated with the installation of the Casavant Organ in 1996.

Over the years, the Concert Series became so successful that we decided to eliminate ticket sales and rely solely on the enthusiastic support of our sponsors. Interested patrons may support these concerts by sending a donation at various levels to sponsor a concert at the Maestro level. All levels will have appropriate recognition in the concert program. We hope you will continue supporting this series. God’s good gifts are meant to be shared.

About the Musicians

Kevin Paton-Cole

Originally from Sierra Leone, Kevin has a degree from Peabody Conservatory. He is the Music Director and organist of Our Lady of Grace in Baltimore. He has delighted our congregation with two stunning Bach postludes.

Ashley Watkins

Ashley Watkins, flutist, is a Cambridge native who was taught by local school musicians and a member of the D.C. Youth Orchestra. She went on to receive a Master's degree from the University of Akron. She has continued to enchant audiences with her talent across different musical genres as a member of the Peabody Sinfonietta and a featured artist in the Clifford Brown Jazz Festival.

Maris Wicker

Our very own Maris Wicker has taught piano and voice at Sitar Arts Center in Washington, DC. Her performances as a singer have ranged from oratorio and cantata soloist to musical theater & cabaret. She has graced the stage at the Atlas Theater in D.C., the D.C. Fringe Festival, Studio Theatre in Richmond, Germano’s in Baltimore, and the Dorchester Center for the Arts.

Beau Soir

Beau Soir is an ensemble of harp, viola, and flute dedicated to the performance of standard and contemporary repertoire. Christ Church is always captivated by their fluid musicianship, and we are very lucky to have them back.
